device

"And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." 2 Thessalonians 2:11

Technology has become more than a lifestyle. Is it our new God?

Most of us are connected to smartphones and other devices that we are faithful and responsive to. And the sheer quantity of time we spend on the internet amounts to a kind of worship.

One of the definitions of the word “device” in Oxford Dictionaries is “a plan, method, or trick with a particular aim".

As we lean into cyberspace for everything from research to relationships, is this connectivity attempting to mimic our relationship with God? The promise of all-knowingness is no longer in just one apple. We are now swallowing a whole tree of interconnectable devices. Is it time to secure your connection with God? Otherwise, you may end up caught in a web of persuasion that entices you to believe your soul is online.
