expectations

The concept of the “end of time” invites us to think outside of our present circumstances. To an infinity beyond what we can begin to imagine.

For some of us, our expectations increase exponentially as we dwell on the hope of a heavenly home, eternal peace and love, and even the possibility of honour and reward.

As our level of expectation increases, though, should we also expand our actions to further the Kingdom of God? Leonardo da Vinci wrote in his Notebooks “”If a drop of water falls into the sea...the whole surface of the sea is raised imperceptibly.”

Imagine what would happen if each of us were to pour out streams of kindness and love in a way that is as extravagant as our expectations for eternity?

“If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my

servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour.”

John 12:26 KJV
