I did a little cooking two days in a row recently. The first day, I followed the recipe carefully and had a perfect result. The second day, I followed the recipe more loosely and things didn't turn out as well. It was a reminder to me of how we need to read God's written Word continually, and let His Words guide us in every circumstance. There is no earthly recipe for stepping into a new decade in a post-truth world where "knowledge" is beginning to outpace the human imagination. But none is really needed. Earthly instructions cannot handle heavenly issues. God's Word and His Holy Spirit guide those who believe in Jesus, from outside of time, far above the noise of a pre-apocalyptic world.

It's not just a glimmer of hope, it's everything we need for what comes next. Hold on to it and make sure you have a few extra copies of the physical Bible in your home.
