I had the opportunity to use the services of a lawyer to handle some legal matters recently. In advance of our meetings I prepared long lists of questions. But my questions usually disintegrated without needing to be asked, as the lawyer sifted out facts and explained the law.

As we witness the rise of unfathomable evil in the world alongside the threat of unstoppable artificial "intelligence", it's easy to be overwhelmed with questions and theories about what's happening and how we might be affected.

We forget God is omnipotent. Just looking up at the sky invites us to turn to Him, in the direction of His heavenly throne. His written Word, the Bible, provides us with unlimited peace and hope in the darkest hours.

We can surrender our questions to Him with full confidence, knowing He has provided the ultimate answer.. He sent His Son Jesus to us. When we put our faith in Him we become citizens of heaven. We are no longer of this world.

God's law provides reassurance that evil will come to an end. We can shelter in His love.

"But as many as received him,
