Peace

Walking downtown on a recent Saturday afternoon I began to notice large numbers of people gathering, and a lot of police officers. The crowd kept growing, and before I knew it, I found myself surrounded by throngs of people calling for "death to Zion".

As a believer in the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I am "grafted in" to the olive tree that is Zion. So in a sense, the mob was raging against me too.

There was no need to "hate them back", but to simply pass through, praying for them and stopping to share with some the good news of Salvation found in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

Hate is erupting around the globe. Fear is flooding the streets. Yet as born again believers in Jesus we are miraculously filled with His peace so we can share God's love to those who are under the influence of Satan.

What an amazing time to be alive and at rest in the promises of God.

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:

and the government shall be upon his shoulder:

and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor,

The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
