Revival

What is revival? My faith in Jesus Christ was revived in brokenness. After years of being caught in the devices and self-serving ideology of the world, doing things "my own way", I came to the end of myself. I'd been driving the highway to destruction, blinded by deception.

I opened my Bible for the first time in many years and realized it is pure Truth, and that all the world's systems are rooted in lies. I was reminded Jesus is the only One who loves me with perfect love, the only One with my best interest in mind.

My focus shifted from looking inward to looking at Jesus. I surrendered all to Him and learned I had no need to try to put the pieces of brokenness back together on my own, but to simply let His Holy Spirit lead and guide.

Revival makes space for God's Grace. We come alive as we let go of "self" and let the Spirit of God move in and through us.

"And the earth was without form, and void;

and darkness was on the face of the deep.

And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."
